Gluten Free Onion Rings
4C Gluten Free Panko Crumbs
Ingredients:
1 onion sliced into ½” thick slices and divided into rings
1/2 cup gluten free flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup 4C Gluten Free Panko Crumbs
vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
Place flour in one bowl, eggs and milk in a second bowl (beat them together) and then the Panko crumbs in a third bowl.
Coat the sliced onions in the flour, then in the egg mixture and then in the bread crumb mixture. Place on a separate plate until ready to fry.
Continue to do this until all the onions have been coated.
Add oil to a small saucepan. You’ll need about 2” of oil. Heat on medium heat until it has reached a temperature of 375 degrees F.
Place the coated onions in the oil and fry on each side until the onions are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Then transfer the fried onion rings to a paper towel lined plate to cool.
Top with salt and enjoy!
